ENVS 101: Energy and Sustainability
This problem-based learning course consists of a series of independent projects that focus on the interaction between energy, sustainability, and the environment. Each project is designed as a hands-on, collaborative inquiry where students are presented with a challenge and key question. Each semester-long course consists of 3 to 6 of these projects. One project each semester is focused exclusively on solving a major challenge in the campus climate action plan.
Reflective Narrative:
Through this course, I was able to learn a lot of aspect in which one can use renewable energy. Some of the alternatives for energy sources we discussed about were solar panels, wind farms or simply fixing things can make a huge difference among other things. We also created different scenarios in which we would alter numbers based on the consumption of electricity and look for better alternatives to save energy. For our final class project, we created windmill to create a renewable energy.
