Through participating in class-based workshops on writing mechanics, reading scholarly and creative works, and writing literature reviews, students develop their reading comprehension and writing skills.
Reflective Narrative:
One of the main objectives of this course was developing different critical thinking skills. The way in which we were able to practice and develop was by analyzing different scenarios of social topics. We focused on the Native American repatriation aspect and how many of their rights as Native Americans are not respected. Simply because they are not federally recognized and do not receive the same benefits other tribes. To expand our knowledge, we created a word press in which we incorporated different works we completed. Our final project focused on completing an analysis paper about the Kennewick Man.
